* Mastercard’s merchant category codes (MCCs) are used to determine the category of your purchase. These codes are assigned by merchants and may change from time to time. Categories, rates and program rules may change. Cardholder account must be open and in good standing to be eligible for cash back. Purchase-based cash back is capped at $25 cash back earned per month.
2 5% cash back on Money Mart service fees applies to eligible MoneyGram, cheque cashing and currency exchange transactions. Cash back is calculated on the actual service fee paid. Cash back is only earned on eligible products or services that are for the primary cardholder’s personal use. For cheque cashing transactions, maximum cash back earned is $6 per cheque.
3 1% cash back on Installment Loan payments is available for up to the equivalent of 12 monthly payments per customer lifetime. Cash back applies only to payments made after card activation and only when both the cardholder account and Installment Loan are in good standing. Cash back is not earned on Installment Loans for customers who reside in BC, Manitoba and Newfoundland.
4 Fee waiver applies only to the standard service fee – one waiver per calendar month. Waiver must be applied at time of transaction and cannot be carried forward or redeemed retroactively. Eligibility requires the cardholder account be in good standing.
5 Fee waiver applies only to the standard service fee – one waiver per calendar month. Applies only to the repurchase of up to $3,000 CAD equivalent of foreign currency- standard fees apply above this amount. Waiver must be applied at time of transaction and cannot be retroactively redeemed. Eligibility requires the cardholder account be in good standing.
6 Foreign currency transactions will be converted to Canadian dollars using the Mastercard rate of exchange. You are charged a fee of 2.5% of the converted amount, on both credits and debits.
7 Coverage protects the insured item for 90 days from the date of purchase against physical damage or theft. Annual limit of CAD $1,000 - overall lifetime maximum of $60,000 per cardholder account.
8 Benefit extends the original manufacturer’s warranty for a maximum of one additional year. Annual limit of CAD $25,000 - overall lifetime maximum of $60,000 per cardholder account
9 Balance Protection Insurance is optional and is provided by Trans Global Insurance Company and Trans Global Life Insurance Company. Premiums are 1.5% of the insured balance plus applicable taxes. Eligibility, benefits, limits and exclusions apply, including requirements that the account be in good standing. You may cancel your coverage at any time, but if you cancel within 30 days (60 days in Quebec) and no claim has been made, you will get a refund of premiums paid.
